Richard Brooker was born on November 20, 1954 in Münster, West Germany. With his impressive height of 6'3" (1.91 m), he had the perfect physical presence for horror roles.
He was discovered through the casting magazine "Dramalogue" and cast as Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th Part 3 (1982), becoming the first actor to don the iconic hockey mask.
His second major role was as the warrior Oghris in Deathstalker (1983).
After acting, he transitioned to production and stunts. He passed away on April 8, 2013 from a heart attack.
